Tomaž Toporišič

Tomaž Toporišič jest profesorem dramaturgii i performatyki oraz prodziekanem Akademii Teatralnej Uniwersytetu w Lublanie. W latach 1997‒2003 był dyrektorem artystycznym Teatru Mladinsko, a w latach 2003‒2016 jego dramaturgiem. W 1995 roku współtworzył Festiwal Współczesnych Sztuk Performatywnych Exodos. Toporišič był kuratorem kilku wystaw podczas Praskiego Quadriennale Scenografii i Architektury Teatralnej. Jego zainteresowania badawcze obejmują współczesne sztuki performatywne, literaturę i kulturę wizualną. Jest autorem pięciu książek na temat współczesnych sztuk performatywnych: „Between Seduction and Suspiciousness: Slovenian Theatre of the Second Half of the20th Century” (2004), „The Vulnerable Body of Text and Stage” (2007), „Ecdyses of Drama and Theatre” (2008), „Intercultural and Intermedia Nomadism: On the Intertwining of Media and Cultures in Contemporary Performing Arts” (2018), „Dangerous Liaisons of Drama and Theatre in the 20th and 21st Century” (2021). Jest także współredaktorem trzech antologii: „Drama, Text, Scripture” I and II (2008, 2021); and „Occupying Spaces: Experimental Theatre in Central Europe” (2010). Toporišič jest członkiem kolegium redakcyjnego pisma „Amfiteater”. W 2014 roku w uznaniu wyjątkowych osiągnięć w dziedzinie dramaturgii otrzymał od Ministra Kultury Francji tytuł Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres.
